Open Modernisms is a Creative-Commons-licensed (CC-BY), social-knowledge resource that allows scholars of modernism to build custom anthologies or coursepacks of out-of-copyright primary materials. Powered by Islandora, the site offers a library of PDF documents from which users can build an anthology from scratch by uploading their own material, or by remixing someone else’s work. Members can add their own notes or materials, and then output everything to a single PDF file for distribution and/or printing. Help us build an open learning community by contributing material to our collections.
The project was built with funding and support from BC Open Campus, Islandora/DiscoveryGarden, Agile Humanities Agency, and the Modernist Studies Association. Its repository was populated by students working on the work-study programme funded by Student Awards and Financial Aid at the University of Victoria.
